The next raid of World of Warcraft is just around the corner. In a few days, players can battle in the Crucible of Storms.
Although the Siege of Dazar’alor is still a hurdle for some guilds, World of Warcraft will soon open the next raid. The Crucible of Storms will open its doors next week and provide a first taste of the fight against the Old God N’Zoth.
When does the Crucible of Storms open? As usual, the Crucible opens in several steps.
- The normal and heroic mode opens on April 17, 2019.
- The mythic and LFR mode opens on April 24, 2019.
What can players expect in the raid? In the Crucible of Storms, there are only two bosses, namely:
- The Restless Cabal
- Uu’nat, Harbinger of the Void
The two bosses drop interesting items with unique effects. Additionally, the raid is the beginning of the storyline that deals with N’Zoth and the Old Gods. There will surely be more to come in the coming months.
Prologue already playable: Those who want to play the introductory story for the Crucible of Storms can do so now. The prologue starts with the world quests “Naga Attack!”, which can be found all over Kul Tiras and Zandalar. This article explains what exactly the quest series is about.
Is there again a “World First” race? The Crucible of Storms is particularly small with only two bosses and is not designed as a standalone “raid tier.” Therefore, there will probably be no race among professional guilds. The raid is likely already cleared in America before it even opens in Europe. The next big “World First” race is expected with patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara.
