The next update of World of Warcraft is coming earlier than expected. It will be available at the beginning of November.
It’s currently a bit boring in World of Warcraft. Even though Blizzard is releasing new patches relatively quickly, the second season is “relatively stale.” Most players have already obtained their optimal gear and are waiting for the story and item progression to continue.
Blizzard has now revealed the release date for the next update. In just 3 weeks, it will continue.
When is the release of Patch 10.2? Blizzard has announced the release date for Patch 10.2 “Guardians of the Dream.” The patch will launch on November 8, 2023, in Europe. Due to the different maintenance schedules, the patch will go live on US realms a few hours earlier, on November 7.
What’s in Patch 10.2? The centerpiece of the new patch is the journey into the Emerald Dream. The new world tree Amirdrassil is nourished by the energies of the dream and is slowly being prepared for the transition to Azeroth. However, the forces of Fyrakk, the Druids of the Flame, and the Elementals of the Firelands are attacking the Emerald Dream, trying to burn the new world tree to harness its power.
The highlights of the patch include:
- New raid “Amirdrassil” with Fyrakk as the final boss
- New glory faction “Guardians of the Dream”
- New outdoor zone, the Emerald Dream
Of course, there will also be the usual content, such as a new season, fresh tier sets, and minor revisions to several classes, such as rogues or demon hunters.
Blizzard is placing great importance this time on ensuring that solo players also have a lot to do.
Is there anything after that? Apparently, Patch 10.2 will be the last “major” patch of Dragonflight, as it introduces an item that is only ever available in the last raid tier. However, the developers have revealed that more story will be told afterward, presumably in smaller patches. It is also likely that there will be a “Season 4,” where all raids become relevant again – just as it was the case with Shadowlands.
