One of the most popular NPCs returns to the world of WoW: Legion. However, to convince him, you need very good eyes.
Sometimes it’s the little details that World of Warcraft still makes beautiful after more than 12 years. This time it’s about a very special companion that players can bring to Dalaran – at least if they have taken care of him in the previous expansions. It’s none other than the NPC with the memorable name “Dog”.
A brief flashback: Back in “Mists of Pandaria,” players could run their own little farm to grow various materials and befriend the villagers. Among them was also the dog, who was half-starved and had to be nursed back to health by players. Afterwards, they were rewarded with emotes showing that the dog was happy to see the player again. If you typed /love or /pet, the dog even responded – a loyal companion indeed.
How to Get the Dog to Dalaran
With Warlords of Draenor, they left the dog behind – lonely on the farm. Many players did not like this, and after some complaints, the developers added the dog to the garrison if players had taken care of him beforehand.
Now it’s the same game – the dog is stuck in the garrison once again while players no longer visit it.
That’s exactly why since Patch 7.2 there is a feature to bring the dog to Dalaran. To do this, you need to loot a small stone from the road in Dalaran. These stones are really very small and can appear in various locations. It’s best to switch to first-person perspective and search the ground carefully.
The stones, however, have a cooldown – so there may not be any available at the moment.
Return to your garrison with the stone, find the dog (he’s in the garden), and show him the stone. Afterwards, you can also visit the dog in Dalaran – he’s next to Breanni and the other pets.
What do you think? A cool little feature or wasted programming time?
