We wanted to know from you which new mount in World of Warcraft is the most popular. You have voted – here are the results!
With Patch 7.2 of World of Warcraft, all classes received a special mount. But it was not until last Tuesday (06.06.2017) that players were finally able to complete the corresponding quest to obtain the class-specific mount.
We then asked you which of the Class Mounts is the most beautiful and created a survey. More than 1,200 of you (so far = 11:30 AM, 08.06) participated in the survey, giving us a solid result of reader opinions.
Shamans have the most beautiful class mount
The clear winner is the Shaman. 242 of you (20%) considered this mount the best. The “Riding Elemental” had been heavily criticized by lore enthusiasts, as the story suggests that shamans “ask” the powerful elementals for help – the fact that one of them can be “tamed” as a mount appealed to few. Nevertheless, it visually stands out – a clear number 1!
In 2nd place is the Druid with its new flying form – 183 votes (16%). Most fans particularly like that they can carry a friend on their back. But the owl form also looks great, as its color automatically adapts depending on the race.
The 3rd place goes to the Hunter with his wolf hawk. This unusual mix of two animal species is well received by many players and gives the Hunter a distinctly “wilder” appearance – this is acknowledged by the voters (13%, 150 votes).
Mages have the least popular mount
The biggest disappointment was among the Mages. The disparagingly called “flying saucer” is only laughed at by most players – even though it has been a traditional Mage mount since Wrath of the Lich King (see the battle against Malygos in the Eye of Eternity). The sad result: 3% – exactly 30 votes.
Also Demon Hunters and Priests (each 5% – 64 votes) seem to be rather unhappy with their demon bat and the strange titan owls. These classes will likely rely on alternative mounts in the future – but thankfully the selection in World of Warcraft is large.
