The Devastated Coast of Patch 7.2 in WoW shows strong parallels to the Jungle of Tanaan from WoW – is that good?
The upcoming Patch 7.2 is currently on the test server of World of Warcraft. As Blizzard has announced, most features of the patch are now available with the latest update, and in the coming weeks, the focus will mainly be on fixing bugs and balancing the new game content.
The Devastated Coast suspiciously resembles the Tanaan Jungle from the previous expansion Warlords of Draenor. The parallels are so significant that some players are already wrinkling their noses and hoping, “Blizzard, please no.”
The parallels between the Devastated Coast and the Jungle of Tanaan
- In the area, there is a new currency that appears similar to Apex crystals – Nethersplitter. These can be used to purchase various rewards but should also help advance the upgrade of the base of Legionfall (the new faction).
- As in Tanaan, there are also various equipment tokens in the area of the Devastated Coast. With a simple click, one receives – depending on the type of token – a suitable item for their class. This should be especially rewarding for newcomers and alt characters, allowing them to reach a high gear standard quickly. By the way, the tokens have a small chance to create a legendary item when used!
- The Devastated Coast has a total of 4 different world bosses, all of which drop loot with an item level of 890 (and can be upgraded with luck).
Cortyn says: Tanaan was a personal low point for me in Warlords of Draenor, it was farming and grinding in its purest form. I can only hope that the Devastated Coast does not develop in the same direction because I will quickly turn my back on it. However, the world quests system may solve the problem, so you don’t spend all day hanging out on the coast. The other areas of Legion are simply too beautiful for that.
I will get a precise impression of it myself on the PTR in the next few days. Maybe everything is much better than feared.
Soon, WoW will also no longer work on the old operating systems Windows Vista and Windows XP.
