Do you have the sharpest outfit in World of Warcraft? In the Trial of Style, you can prove your transmog skills!
In recent months, World of Warcraft has introduced some pretty crazy micro-holidays. Since today (08/17/2017), “The Big Style Check” is live. All interested players can participate in the special scenario until 08/23.
The whole event takes place in the Terrace of the Magisters – but you can get there via the transmogrifier in Dalaran. Just talk to him and he will give you the option to participate in the scenario.
Here you will be teamed up with 5 other players and must put together a suitable set from your collection within nearly 2 minutes. Every time there is a different theme, such as “Summer Fashion”, “Heroes of Azeroth”, or “Freestyle”.
After that, always two players are teleported to the stage and can present their outfits. The rest of the group then votes on which of the two has the better outfit.
As rewards, there are “Marks of the Big Style Check”. These can be exchanged at the transmogrifier for various cosmetic sets and the “Fashionable Undershirt” for the duration of the event.
Cheating is, by the way, not possible. Before the presentation, the other players do not see your selection, as it is all covered by neutral, gray clothing.
Cortyn says: The rewards are not really great, but the fun definitely takes center stage at this event. It is a bit disappointing that Blizzard hasn’t designed completely new sets for the Big Style Check, but that would probably be too much work “just” for a micro-holiday. So it is simply a fun event where you can have a lot of fun.
