World of Warcraft has increased the drop chance for many formerly rare mounts from world bosses. MeinMMO reveals where you can find the bosses and farm the mounts.
What mounts are these? 5 mounts from Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor are now easier to obtain, because Dracthyr exploited a bug. Blizzard responded and increased the drop chance for all players. You can now obtain the following mounts more easily:
- Celestial Onyx Cloud Serpent from Sha of Anger (Pandaria, Kun-Lai Summit)
- Son of Galleon from Galleon (Pandaria, Valley of the Four Winds)
- Cobalt Blue Terrorhorn from Oondasta (Pandaria, Isle of Giants)
- Thundering Cobalt Cloud Serpent from Nalak (Pandaria, Isle of Thunder)
- Sunstrider from Rukhmar (Warlords of Draenor, Spires of Arak)
You will find most of these bosses in Pandaria, but in different areas. We will reveal the exact location for each boss.
By the way: If you have some time left, you should definitely get the new reagent bag for a larger inventory. It makes leveling in Dragonflight much more enjoyable later on.
Rukhmar – Location in the Spires of Arrak
Where does Rukhmar spawn? The map icon for Rukhmar is currently in the wrong place. Instead of the south, where the boss used to be found, Rukhmar now spawns at the Sky Pillar in the northwest (coordinates: 37/38). Rukhmar spawns in the air. If ranged fighters are already waiting for the spawn, you will need to be quick as a melee fighter or already flying to hit the boss in the air before it dies.
You can reach the location fastest by using the garrison hearthstone and then flying to the Spires of Arak. If you don’t have such a hearthstone, take the portal to Ashran in your capital.
Galleon – Location in the Valley of the Four Winds
Where does Galleon spawn? You will find Galleon in the Valley of the Four Winds in Pandaria, in the southeast near the border with Krasarang Wilds (coordinates: 71/64). You can reach the boss fastest via a portal to the Valley of Eternal Blossoms from a mage, or via the portal to the Jade Forest in your capital.
Oondasta – Location on the Isle of Giants
Where does Oondasta spawn? Oondasta spawns on the Isle of Giants, a special area in Pandaria, right in the center (coordinates: 50/54). You can reach the giant dino fastest through a portal to the Valley of Eternal Blossoms or the portal to the Jade Forest in your capital.
You need to fly north over the Kun-Lai Summit across the sea and through an exhaustion zone from there to reach the island. There are then flight masters on the island.
Sha of Anger – Location on the Kun-Lai Summit
Where does the Sha of Anger spawn? You can find the Sha of Anger on the Kun-Lai Summit in Pandaria (coordinates 54/63). You can hardly miss the boss; the huge Sha can be easily recognized from a distance by its bright glow.
You can reach the boss fastest through a portal to the Valley of Eternal Blossoms from a mage, or via the portal to the Jade Forest in your capital.
Nalak – Location on the Isle of Thunder
Where does Nalak spawn? Nalak spawns on the Isle of Thunder, a special area in Pandaria, at the entrance to the Throne of Thunder (coordinates 60/37). The Isle of Thunder itself is located north of the Townlong Steppes.
You can best reach the location via a mage portal to the Valley of the Four Winds or via the portal to the Jade Forest in your capital. Fly to the Townlong Steppes and speak with an NPC from your faction:
- Scout Captain Elsia for the Horde
- Vereesa Windrunner for the Alliance
You will find both of them in the center of the Townlong Steppes at the Shado-Pan Garrison. The NPCs give you a quest that opens a portal to the Isle of Thunder.
At level 60, you should not have any problems and can solo kill each boss. However, keep in mind that the bosses are not available at all times. They have different respawn times, and it may happen that you have to wait a while if someone has just killed the boss. However, most bosses should respawn after about 15 minutes.
