A hotfix has drastically changed the balance of World of Warcraft Legion Remix. DPS characters, as well as healers, are now in a much better position.
In WoW Legion, there is one thing that is not present, which is rampant everywhere in Azeroth: Tank shortage. This has a pretty simple reason, because tanks are completely overpowered in Legion Remix. Any class that can be a tank should also be played as a tank. This way, you deal almost the same damage as DPS characters, but can withstand much more.
What has been changed? In a hotfix, Blizzard significantly improved all DPS and healer specializations in Legion Remix early on the morning of October 16, 2025. All artifact weapon bonuses now cause 20% more damage and healing for DPS and healer characters. In other words: For all non-tanks, the bonuses from the artifact weapons are now significantly more effective and provide stronger benefits.
Big buffs for artifact weapons in WoW Legion Remix
What has changed in detail? In addition to the direct improvements for healers and DPS, there are also some balance changes to the properties of artifact weapons. Because some were simply too weak and were never used. These adjustments are new:
- Call of the Legion
- Infernal Harbingers deal less damage in melee.
- The Infernal Leap of the Infernal Harbinger deals more damage.
- Infernal Soul Harvest deals more damage.
- Naran’s Disk
- Catching the disk increases the damage of further throws per catch by 50% (formerly 30%).
- Lich Avengers
- The damage dealt has been increased by 50%.
- The healing triggered has been increased by 20%.
- Verdict of the Defender
- The damage dealt has been increased by 50%.
- The healing triggered has been increased by 20%.
- Strength of the High Mountain
- The percentage of damage taken converted into soul strength has been increased to 10% at rank 1 (formerly 5%) and to 15% at rank 3 (formerly 11%). Each additional rank from or above 4 grants an additional 3%.
Why did Blizzard change this? That Blizzard has given all healers and DPS characters in Legion Remix such a strong buff has clear reasons. The current meta, especially in the “Mythic+” area, but also in most raids, consists of groups that are 100% tanks. There is virtually no reason to switch to a DPS or healer specialization. The same previously applied in heroic world mode, where tanks had a much better time.
Due to the changes, it should now be worth trying out a different specialization more often. So if you have never deviated from being a tank, consider switching your specialization – you could be positively surprised.
The changes come right after a nerf – because those who farmed too hard were punished by Blizzard.
