World of Warcraft is picking up speed. But is it fast enough? Or is it even too fast? We want to know what you think about the topic.
Some veterans are rubbing their eyes in astonishment at the speed that World of Warcraft has been displaying in recent months. While many had smiled wearily when Blizzard announced that they would bring a total of 6 content patches in 2023, those doubts have since faded.
Although the current expansion is not even 6 months old, there have already been two smaller patches along with a new zone, new endgame content, class reworks, and numerous general improvements. In just a few weeks, the release of Patch 10.1 Fury of Neltharion will bring the second major raid, a new season for PvE and PvP, and also a fresh endgame area with new reputation factions, story quests, and plenty of tasks.
Just to give a comparison: The last expansion Shadowlands offered significantly less in terms of the sheer number of patches and the waiting time between them:
- Shadowlands was released in October 2020.
- The first patch came in March 2021 (5 months later), but it did not bring any new content, only minor improvements.
- Not until the end of June (over 8 months after launch) did the first real content update arrive with a new, small zone and quests.
- For Patch 9.2 with Zereth Mortis, it took another solid 8 months (February 2022) to bring a second new zone.
But how is this new speed of Dragonflight actually being received by you? Every now and then, you hear that it is still “too little and too slow,” while at the same time, others comment that it is now “too fast” for them. Therefore, we want to find out with the survey which view the majority of you holds and who might be in the minority.
