In the new WoW raid Antorus, quite powerful trinkets will drop. But do they perhaps have a “secret” purpose?
Currently, the patch 7.3.2 is being tested on the PTR of World of Warcraft. There aren’t really many new features, except for a small rift in Silithus. The next patch mainly brings the opening of the raid Antorus, the Burning Throne.
Also included in the game data are some game files for the last boss fights in the upcoming raid, such as the final boss Argus. New loot has also been added to this boss – and it is quite significant! The trinkets are named after the 6 great Titans and provide not just a bunch of attributes, but also a passive effect, and even 2.
Two Effects – one only against the boss Argus
The first effect is usually a rather powerful buff that lasts for a few seconds – like 4355 life steal, avoidance, and movement speed for 12 seconds.
The second effect is triggered when the player is “Empowered by the Pantheon” – this only happens in the fight against the raid boss Argus. However, since the trinkets drop from Argus, this is essentially an additional “nerf” over time. Because when players acquire the trinkets on normal difficulty, they also activate their effect in heroic or even mythic mode.
As more and more players obtain these trinkets, there is (in addition to the increasing item level) an additional way to gain a bit more potency against the final boss.
What do you think about trinkets that only have an additional effect in a specific situation? A cool gimmick or uninspired rubbish?
Have you listened to the audio play about Turalyon and Alleria yet?
