The new addon World of Warcraft Shadowlands is for many fans the big event of the year. Therefore, a streamer wanted to play it immediately at launch and not waste a second. He nearly received a hefty fine for it.
What happened? The new WoW addon Shadowlands was released on November 23, 2020, just before the launch of the expansion, and a friend and co-streamer of Bbnogames absolutely wanted to be online until the game started and play with his friends.
However, since he was out just before the launch, he had to hurry back home to his PC. Therefore, he sped on the highway. He quickly regretted it, as suddenly the police appeared behind him and pulled him over.
The streamer was already preparing for an uncomfortable conversation, a significant delay before he could play, and a hefty fine when the situation took an unexpected turn.
Officer thinks it’s okay to speed over the highway for Shadowlands
This is how the situation proceeded: The confrontation with the highway policeman began with the usual question: “Do you know how fast you were going?”
The streamer, who apparently saw no point in elaborate excuses, simply responded truthfully, “Yes, I’m sorry, but this new game is starting soon and all my friends are waiting for me!”
At this point, the officer perked up and asked, “Shadowlands?”, to which the streamer immediately affirmed.
The officer then said understandingly, “Alright, then go ahead!”
Completely stunned, the streamer then actually drove home and was live in his friend Bbnogames’ stream about 5 minutes later. There he then recounted this crazy anecdote to an amused audience.
At the launch of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands not all players were thrilled. However, our MeinMMO house demon Cortyn does not accept that. For her, the launch of the new WoW expansion was simply awesome. No matter what you say about it! Enjoy reading.
