The title “The Hallowed” in World of Warcraft is much sought after. We will tell you how to obtain it during the Hollow’s End in WoW.
In World of Warcraft, the Hollow’s End event is currently taking place again. This is an annual event where you can earn some achievements and rewards. At the end of this event lies the title “The Hallowed.” We will tell you how to get the title and what you need to do for the required achievement “Hallowed be thy Name.”
To obtain the coveted title, you must complete a total of 11 smaller achievements. This might take some time, so you should start as early as possible.
Trick or Treat!
What is the task? For this achievement, you need to collect candies from a candy bucket in an inn.
How to complete it: This achievement is probably the easiest. Simply visit one of the many inns. There, you will see the candy buckets marked with a yellow exclamation mark as a quest. Complete the quest, open the small reward bag, and the achievement is done.
Bring me the Head of… oh, wait a minute
What is the task? Defeat the Headless Horseman. He is the event boss of the Hollow’s End.
How to complete it: Simply sign up for the fight against the Headless Horseman via the “Dungeon Finder.” The fight is quite simple, and the hardest part is probably the waiting time until you enter the dungeon. We’ll tell you why a daily visit to this boss is worth it in our guide to the Headless Horseman’s mount.
The Shining Smile
What is the task? You need to use a toothpick to clean your teeth.
How to complete it: You will likely complete this achievement “on the side.” The necessary toothpicks are sometimes contained in the candy bucket bags that you have to open anyway. Simply use one of these toothpicks, and the achievement will be credited to you and this step will be checked off.
G.N.E.R.D. Rage
What is the task? Collect 10 honorable victories while under the influence of “G.N.E.R.D.S.”.
How to complete it: You can occasionally obtain the candy “G.N.E.R.D.S.” from the candy buckets. If you eat the candy, you will gain the corresponding buff for a few minutes. Now you need to collect a total of 10 honorable victories. This works best by simply participating in a battleground and playing a bit more defensively so that you survive for a while. Alternatively, you can also ask friends if they can switch to a character of the opposing faction and let you kill them 10 times.
The Masquerade
What is the task? Transform into all 7 forms using wands: Bat, Ghost, Leprechaun, Ninja, Pirate, Skeleton, and Wisp.
How to complete it: During the Hollow’s End, you can obtain the “Wand of Transformation”; there are quite a few of them now. You get these from the reward bags in inns, just like many other things. However, they are quite rare.
It is important that you must be transformed into all 7 forms yourself to complete this achievement. So, you need other players to transform you.
The easiest way to do this is to look for like-minded players in the group search or ask a few friends for help. A search in the trade chat can also be successful if you are only missing a few transformations.
Trick or Treat in Azeroth
What is the task? Find all the candy buckets in the Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, and Outland.
How to complete it: This achievement will take some time because you need to visit a number of inns across the three major continents. Each area has at least one necessary inn.
We recommend using the addon “Candy Buckets” (Link to Curseforge.com). The addon detects whether the Hollow’s End is currently ongoing and marks all candy buckets on your world map, allowing you to visit them in order.
By the way, collecting also gives you some experience points, so you could do this with an alt character and level them up a bit while at it. Just make sure that you visit all the inns with the same character to ensure the achievement is counted.
Get it Out
What is the task? Eat so much “Candy Corn” that you have to vomit.
How to complete it: This task is also relatively simple. You only need to eat 3 – 10 “Candy Corn” in a row until your character vomits. “Candy Corn” is also the currency for the Hollow’s End, but you will receive it in large quantities. Just make sure you have enough “Candy Corn” in your inventory when you want to go for the achievement – because if you don’t have enough, you will have to start over later. More details about this can be found in our “Get it Out” guide.
Hero of the Hollow’s End
What is the task? Rescue a village from the Headless Horseman and complete the associated quest.
How to complete it: The various villages in the starting areas – like Goldshire in Elwynn – are regularly attacked by the Headless Horseman. He hurls fireballs at the various houses. You need to pick up buckets of water and throw them on the flames to contain the fire.
If you extinguish all the flames, the Headless Horseman will come down and can be fought. After his death, he drops a pumpkin head that starts a quest. You just have to turn this in, and the achievement is yours!
However, be aware that it is not possible to extinguish the fire alone – it spreads too quickly. You need at least 2 or 3 other players to extinguish the fire together.
Decayed Trickery
What is the task? Complete the 4 Hollow’s End quests that deal with the tricks of the other faction:
- Release the Stinkbombs!
- A Time for Winning / A Time for Building
- Cleaning Up in Stormwind / Cleaning Up in Undercity
- A Time for Losing / A Time for Vandalism
How to complete it: You will receive the tasks for this achievement in front of Stormwind (Alliance) or in the courtyard of Undercity (Horde). These are daily quests that come with some Candy Corn as a reward. The quests are simple and self-explanatory, so you can complete them quickly.
Headgear
What is the task? Throw weighted pumpkin lanterns at members of the following races:
- Blood Elf
- Draenei
- Dwarf
- Goblin
- Human
- Night Elf
- Orc
- Tauren
- Troll
- Undead
- Worgen
How to complete it: The easiest way to complete this achievement is in the neutral city of Oribos, as you usually find representatives of all races here. However, if you can’t find a race, you can also ask in the various chat channels or ask a friend to create a character of that race.
The weighted pumpkin lanterns drop from the Headless Horseman and can drop multiple times per day. You can farm the pumpkin lanterns first and then go hunting for the different races.
Dark Calling
What is the task? Collect a Creepy Pumpkin pet and a Creepy Helmet.
How to complete it: You can obtain both the Creepy Pumpkin pet and the Creepy Helmet from several sources. Both can be in the daily reward bag from the Headless Horseman or in the boxes you receive from inns. Alternatively, you can also spend your “Candy Corn” at the event vendor to collect the rewards.
It is likely that you will achieve this achievement simply “on the side” while collecting the others.
Once you have mastered all these tasks, you will finally receive the final achievement “Hallowed be thy Name” and the associated title “The Hallowed!”
