Everyone has their problems with the sisters. With elves in WoW, it is particularly bad when one unfortunately is an undead.
With Patch 7.3, there is a reunion of some characters in World of Warcraft: Legion who haven’t seen each other in a very long time. The sister duo of the Windrunners, consisting of Vereesa, Alleria, and Sylvanas.
Alleria disappeared during the events of Warcraft II and has since been cut off from contact with Azeroth. Thus, she has no idea what has happened to her sisters in the meantime.
Sylvanas led the defense of Silvermoon when the Scourge invaded Quel’Thalas. She died and was resurrected by Arthas as a banshee. Shortly thereafter, she reclaimed her body, broke free from the will of the Lich King, and founded the Forsaken. Now she leads the Horde – exactly the Horde that once counted as enemies of the high elves.
Vereesa is a high elf and has never succumbed to fel magic like the other blood elves. She is part of the Alliance and was the wife of Rhonin, the former leader of the Kirin Tor.
It is precisely from this elven triangle that exciting conversations arise, which appear for the first time with Patch 7.3. Here is a dialogue (freely translated from English) in which Arator (the son of Alleria), Vereesa, and Alleria discuss their sister Sylvanas on Argus:
Arator: Without a doubt, my mother will soon ask about Sylvanas. What will you tell her?
Vereesa: This is a conversation I know I have to have, but the thought of it fills me with dread. How can Alleria explain what has become of our sister? The truth will break her heart.
(…)
Alleria: I need to know, Vereesa. What fate has befallen our sister?
Vereesa: Give me a moment. I will explain it to you as best as I can…
Alleria: Impossible! I refuse to believe that she now leads the Horde! Not after all the things they did to us during the war.
Vereesa: There is more. I… I am not sure how to explain the rest. Or if this is even the time and place to-
Alleria: Sisters are complicated. Especially the undead.
Vereesa: Perhaps we should discuss this matter in private. Come, sister.
Cortyn says: I am really excited that characters finally had contact with each other again, who haven’t heard from each other for over a decade. I really hope that the long wait for Turalyon and Alleria was worth it – because fans of the series have been waiting for these encounters for a very long time.
How World of Warcraft continues after the Legion and how it ends… there is already much speculation!
