A YouTuber has recreated the cities of Stormwind and Orgrimmar from World of Warcraft in Minecraft. You can see how much effort that took here.
Orgrimmar and Stormwind are known by every gamer, regardless of whether they have tried World of Warcraft. The cities are popular and firmly entrenched in the minds of many players. It’s not surprising that these two locations have also been recreated in Minecraft.
What happened? The YouTuber Vale Yard has taken on both Orgrimmar and Stormwind and attempted to recreate both cities in their entirety. He uploaded a “Time Lapse” video, a time-lapse representation, of each on YouTube.
The results are impressive and certainly worth seeing. Block by block, the cities are being recreated, and everyone can get an impression of how slowly but surely the two capitals of World of Warcraft are coming together.
What you can expect for WoW at BlizzCon, we have revealed here.
How were the cities recreated? The projects were created in “Sandbox” mode, where all blocks are freely available and can be placed freely. With some additional mods, the work was also made a bit easier, for example, to fill entire areas or move them at the same time.
Although Vale Yard was commissioned by Blizzard for these two projects, the attention to detail and the scale of the project are still impressive.
Have you ever attempted to recreate something from World of Warcraft in Minecraft? Or do you lack the patience, endurance, and especially the motivation for such large projects?
