In WoW: Shadowlands features numerous mounts to earn. Here, we present some of them and highlight the best from the current Alpha.
In addition to all the major new features, such as the zones, mechanics, or fresh features like Torghast, the next expansion of World of Warcraft also brings a lot that is already known. Especially collectors of mounts will definitely get their money’s worth in Shadowlands, as the mounts found so far through data mining look mostly good.
The data miners from Wowhead have already found a lot of mounts in the game data that we do not want to withhold from you. However, please keep in mind that it is still unclear what sources these mounts will be available from.
Moths from Ardenweald
In Ardenweald, there will probably be some moths. At least a blue and a dark moth have already been discovered in the game data, which only differ slightly in color. It is likely that more colors will find their way into the game.
Unicorns in new colors
Matching the dreamlike picturesque Ardenweald, there are also a number of new unicorn mounts. The model itself is not new; only the color scheme has been slightly changed. Still, more diversity here is a nice thing, so soon everyone can have a unicorn in their desired color.
By the way: All unicorns/monocorns will learn to fly in Shadowlands!
The Cradle from Ardenweald
This cradle here could be particularly cool. Whether it simply floats magically or is pulled by creatures is still unclear. However, it would make a cool addition and would be the first “litter” that players can obtain.
Mysterious Stags in stylish look
One last treat from Ardenweald are these stags. So far they come in four different colors and look quite impressive – nature-loving night elves and druids are sure to be looking forward to these mounts.
Larions and Phalynxes from Bastion
In the angelic area of Bastion, there are mounts that resemble constructs, as they are created by the Kyrians. These are the phalynxes, which appear to be bound to the area of Bastion. You can see some color variations here:
The larions, on the other hand, you will encounter in Bastion as normal mobs and will have to defeat them multiple times. Some of them apparently also serve as mounts and can then be added to the collection.
The Gorm are strange beetles
If you prefer insects and strange beetles, you will likely enjoy the gorms. These (probably quite large) beetles look rather unusual and may give some players a shiver down their spine.
Keep in mind with all these mounts that they may not necessarily be available in the game. There are often mounts that are only used for flight master routes or never find their way into the game.
Is that all there is? No, most likely not. Shadowlands is still in Alpha, and by far not all content is available yet. It is very likely that more mounts will be added throughout Alpha and Beta – for example, as drops from bosses, from Torghast, or simply as rare drops. The obligatory “gold sink” mount is also still missing – as the auction house dinosaur will soon be gone.
Are you looking forward to the new mounts in Shadowlands? How do you like the creatures discovered so far?
