With the opening of Castle Nathria, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands gets its first raid. In the raid, there are legendary effects to obtain for each class – a total of 48 pieces. MeinMMO tells you which ones they are and exactly where to get them.
What are these legendaries? In Shadowlands, legendary items return as a feature. These are the strongest items in the game that can enhance or even change your abilities and can account for a good part of your performance.
In Nathria, the first raid of Shadowlands, you will find some of these legendaries. Specifically: You find memories of legendary items that include their effects. Many classes will only find their best legendary in Castle Nathria. If you are still unsure if there is something for you, you can find the best legendaries for each class in our list.
The effects are, according to wowhead, guaranteed drops that you will receive for your class from the respective boss, apparently even on normal difficulty. Furthermore, you probably do not even need to use the corresponding specialization. The class is sufficient.
Castle Nathria has been open since Season 1 of Shadowlands, which started on December 9th. In our list, you can see all the legendary items you can obtain in Nathria, sorted by class.

Master Castle Nathria and Create Legendaries
What do I need the effects for? You bring the memories to the runesmith in Torghast so that he can learn the respective effect. With that, you can then create a legendary item and choose what you want without (greater) randomness. In our guide, we explain how to craft legendaries in Shadowlands.
However, you first need to complete the quest “The Last Parts”, for which you need a base item from a craftsman, corresponding scripts from the inscriptioner, and a memory.
Where can I find guides and tips for Nathria? If you want to have the legendary memories, you first have to master Castle Nathria. Some of the legendaries are only available from the last boss, Lord Denathrius.
On MeinMMO, you can already find tips for the ideal preparation for Castle Nathria with some useful guides to help you defeat the bosses. Remember that before starting in Nathria, you should increase your reputation with your respective covenant so you do not miss out on important bonuses like stronger soul binds.
You can of course also go into the raid unprepared. However, it might take a while until you hold your desired legendary in your hands. At least a quick look at the adventure guide for an overview of each boss’s abilities is advisable.
Alternatively, you can learn from a pineapple how Castle Nathria works. It’s not entirely accurate, but it is more helpful for preparation than it seems.
