Week 2 of WoW: Shadowlands is underway. We’ll tell you 5 things you should definitely get done before next Wednesday.
In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the second week after release has begun. This means new unlocks, more progress for legendary items, and generally more to do to prepare for the upcoming raids. We’ll let you know what you should definitely get done in week 2 so you don’t fall behind. But don’t worry – even if you have limited time, you can only fall behind slightly in Shadowlands.
Visit Torghast
Even in the second week, you should make at least two visits to Torghast mandatory. This time the two wings “Fracture Halls” and “Mort’regar” are open. Together, both wings reward you with 610 Soul Ash, plus another 100 Soul Ash if you complete the quest from Bolvar Fordragon. If you were active last week, you should have gathered 1,250 Soul Ash by now and can start crafting your first legendary item. You can find all the details about crafting here. If you are still looking for the best Legendary for your specialization, this list will help.
Weekly Quests for Ve’nari
In the Maw, there are not only two daily quests every day, but also two weekly ones that you can accept from the broker Ve’nari. These quests don’t take much time and can be completed in a few minutes. They grant a large amount of Stygia and reputation with Ve’nari. You need the reputation to unlock permanent upgrades in the Maw or Torghast. Later on, you can also unlock sockets and even legendary powers from Ve’nari.
Try Out Your Covenant Feature
As in the first week, your covenant will again send you into the Maw to save 5 souls. The souls are grateful for their rescue and will serve you afterwards as “resources” to further develop your Covenant Sanctum. This allows you to finally utilize the special feature of your covenant:
- With the Kyrian, you train your soul bonds for ascension
- The Necrolords begin building their abominations
- The Night Fae cultivate wild seeds and assist gods in rebirth
- The Venthyr throw extravagant parties and fulfill the guests’ wishes
Refill Anima Reserves
To continue leveling up in the glory of your covenant, you also need to gather 1,000 Anima again. This can be done through world quests, random dungeons, PvP battlegrounds, PvP missions, treasure chests, rare enemies, or adventures. Once you collect the 1,000 Anima and increase your covenant to renown level 5, your covenant campaign will continue.
You will then experience the next part of the extensive story and learn new secrets from the Shadowlands. Especially the Night Fae should be pleased, as they embark on a quest to discover the fate of Tyrande Whisperwind. But the other covenants also have cool stories that are now slowly coming to light.
The Jailer’s Fury
When you are out in the Maw, you should also look out for the Jailer’s Fury. This is an event that occurs every hour and is clearly marked on the map. But join a group, as it is hardly beatable with fewer than 5 players.
After enough enemies have been killed in the marked area, the boss will appear and can be defeated. The boss has a chance to drop an item with an item level of 183. For druids, a legendary power might even drop.
However, keep in mind that you can only fight the boss for loot once per week. If you didn’t get anything the first time, you had bad luck and will have to try again next week.
What else should you do?
If you have completed all the tasks mentioned above, you can certainly do much more in Shadowlands. After all, there are tasks, missions, and plenty of collectibles waiting at every corner. Why not try to farm these 5 mounts? Or just go out into the world and grab two of the coolest toys currently available in the game. Shadowlands has much to offer, and there’s something to see at every corner.
Finally, many players begin raid preparation. After all, next week the first season of Shadowlands starts, along with the raid Castle Nathria and the “Mythic+” dungeons.
Have you completed your tasks for the week yet? What goals have you set for yourself?
