Breaking News: For several hours now, there have been massive login issues in World of Warcraft – The realm server is not active. At the same time, a hotfix allows for one of the prerequisite questlines for patch 7.3 to be started. Read here for information on the current server status.
The loading screens to Dalaran and some other areas are either taking excessively long or leading to a disconnect. Those who are already online and want to enter a related area may find themselves back at their starting point after a long wait or get kicked out of the game.

If you manage to log in for the first time in the last few minutes, however, a new quest awaits you in Dalaran, which is directly added to your quest log by Muradin Bronzebeard. He asks us to visit him in the Sholazar Basin to help Azeroth.
As soon as we have more accurate information about the server status, we will inform you here. Since support has been aware of the issue for some time, a resolution is likely coming soon.
21:04 UPDATE: According to Blizzard Support on Twitter, the issue has now been resolved. The servers should be stable again, and the login issues have been resolved. Have fun playing!
