A new transmog set for World of Warcraft divides the community. Some find it great, while others consider it “overpriced rubbish”.
Most players have become accustomed to Blizzard selling some in-game content in World of Warcraft for an additional price in the shop. However, there is always a small outcry when something unexpected is offered again in the in-game shop. This time it is also the case with the “Regalia of the Waveborn Diplomat”.
What kind of set is this? The set “Regalia of the Waveborn Diplomat” has quite vibrant colors and a unique feathered hat. It also includes rather elaborate shoulders and plenty of decorations in the form of scrolls and books.
Many are disappointed: Many seem to be disappointed by the release of this set. While there are the usual comments that a single set is never worth 20 €, this time there are also voices gaining volume saying that the set should have had a different place. Many could imagine that the transmog set was actually intended as a reward for the monthly completion of the trading post in April.
For the month of April, there is a set of swords – they also look good, but cannot be used by all classes since not all can wield swords. Therefore, many already found the decision questionable on April 1st to bring such swords as the final reward of the month.
Set fuels new theories: Some fans believe they already see a first “teaser” for the expansion after Dragonflight in the new set. Even if some of the speculations are apparently not taken seriously, there have been several times in the past where items from the shop are a first, small indicator of what the next expansion could bring.
That an addon has to do with seafaring is also quite possible. After all, there are increasing hints that the journey soon feels over the sea west of Kalimdor, into the forgotten realm of Avaloren. It will probably take a while until there are concrete details on that.
How do you like the new transmog – and the price for it?
