The most expensive mount of all time is now available to purchase in World of Warcraft. However, it is relatively “cheap” when considering the alternative.
In World of Warcraft, the 20th anniversary is being celebrated – most people had already suspected it, but this also comes with some new offers in the shop. While there is a fairly solid mount bundle available, another mount is causing a stir – because Blizzard wants nearly €80 for it.
What happened? Just a few minutes ago, a new mount appeared in the in-game shop of World of Warcraft. The “Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur” is being offered for the price of €78 – and it seems that some are quite happy about it.
What kind of mount is this? The “Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur” is not only gigantic but also equipped with 2 NPCs that offer unique services. One of them allows you to open your mailbox, but the more interesting character is the second one: you can access the auction house from any location in the game where you can summon a mount.
What are the community’s reactions? They are quite varied. While there are many voices that find a mount for €78 scandalously expensive and see this as a further establishment of the “FOMO” practice (fear of missing out), not everyone feels the same. Some people are happy that such a mount is available again and find the price of €78 reasonable.
However, it is criticized that the offer is considered “limited time” – namely only until January 6, 2025.

How much does that cost in gold? If you want to buy the Brutosaur with gold, it is possible through the WoW Token. In this case, you would currently need to purchase 6 WoW Tokens at a price of around 300,000 gold each – however, the price fluctuates constantly. This amounts to a total cost of 1.8 million gold.
Thus, the new Brutosaur is significantly cheaper than the previous version – especially at this point in time. Because anyone wanting to buy the old Brutosaur now has to rely on luck in the black market auction house and is likely to pay “Goldcap” – that is, 9,999,999 gold. Thus, the new dinosaur actually costs “only” 1/5 of the price.
