The last season of Shadowlands is coming to an end. But what does this mean for the start of Pre-Patch 10.0 in World of Warcraft?
The expansion “Shadowlands” is currently in its final breaths. The final Season 4 is also gradually coming to a close as Blizzard has now announced the official end date for the last season of Shadowlands. This also raises the suspicion that Pre-Patch 10.0 will be released soon.
When does Season 4 end? The season ends on October 25th. You have exactly 2 weeks left to secure the various rewards and achieve a rating of 2,000 to upgrade your items to the maximum level.
What will no longer be possible? With the end of Season 4, it will no longer be possible to acquire various achievements and rewards. These include:
- PvP rating and associated titles and rewards.
- “Mythic+” rating and associated titles and rewards.
What else changes with the end of the season? Another change affects the “fateful” raids in Shadowlands. Until now, only one of the three raids (Castle Nathria, Sanctum of Domination, Mausoleum of the First) was equipped with the additional “fateful” affixes each week. From the Pre-Patch until the launch of Dragonflight, all 3 raids will permanently have these affixes, allowing guilds and raid groups to freely decide which raid they want to progress in.
Will the Pre-Patch be released then? According to the current status, that seems quite likely. The end of Season 4 is the perfect time to implement Pre-Patch 10.0 and introduce the significant updates of Dragonflight. There would still be about 4 weeks until the release of Dragonflight to get used to the changes and also prepare the Dracthyr Callers for the launch in Dragonflight.
However, please note that this date has not yet been officially confirmed by Blizzard. It is certainly possible that the Pre-Patch could also be released a week later, even though that currently seems unlikely.
Are you looking forward to the end of Season 4 and Pre-Patch 10.0?
