The last cinematic of World of Warcraft: Legion has been released. Here you can see what happens to Azeroth when defeating Argus!
As of today, Antorus, the Burning Throne is available. In the last raid of World of Warcraft: Legion, players face some of the strongest adversaries ever encountered. In addition to leaders of the Burning Legion, the latest raid also features a battle against a true Titan! The World Soul of Argus manifests and must be defeated by the players.
Following the final battle, players can expect a cinematic lasting nearly three minutes. If you don’t want to be spoiled, you should not continue reading.
After Argus is defeated, the battle for the fate of the Burning Legion seems to be decided – or so it seems. Velen and the other heroes of Azeroth return with the Vindikaar, but one remains: Illidan.
The Pantheon of Titans uses its regained power to manifest a powerful beam that is aimed at the darkness gripping Azeroth. From the mist, Sargeras, the fallen Titan and leader of the Burning Legion, takes shape. Although the beam tries to stop him, he swings his sword and drives the blade deep into the crust of Azeroth. Only after that does the Pantheon succeed in imprisoning Sargeras. Illidan remains as his warden, trapped in an eternal conflict with the fallen Titan.
Cortyn says: Although the cinematic looks quite epic as is typical of Blizzard and delivers exactly what dataminers and players have already expected, I am dissatisfied. For me, it’s not a worthy exit for one of the greatest villains that Warcraft has ever had. I can only hope that Sargeras escapes his prison again someday. I also find it unfortunate that Illidan is now simply “out of the picture”.
