Most players of World of Warcraft basically know that the world can be really big, but for many, that is more of a nuisance. Nowadays, you’d rather find a mage in the Elwynn Forest who can open a portal to Stormwind instead of taking the time to walk there yourself. Most of the time, the search takes longer than the actual journey, but hey! Everyone to their own.
“In the past,” you really felt the size of the world: If you wanted to visit the Ahn’Qiraj raid, you had to fly for 20 minutes from Darnassus to Silithus. A little time travel is provided by the video from YouTuber TheBigClifty, who flies through Azeroth, Kalimdor, and Pandaria. It gives a good sense of the scale of the world where so many players spend their time every day.
