Soon, players will be able to fly again in World of Warcraft. But does this also apply to the zones in Patch 8.2? The Game Director has answered.
The upcoming Patch 8.2 for World of Warcraft is likely to be one of the largest patches in the game’s history. Additionally, there is a significant burden on the shoulders of this update, as it aims to address many issues from Battle for Azeroth. In an interview with Polygon, Game Director Ion Hazzikostas revealed some details about flying in Patch 8.2.
Can you fly in Nazjatar as well? Many players suspected that Nazjatar and Mechagon, the two new zones in Patch 8.2, would be no-fly zones, as was the case with Argus. However, this is not the case! Both in Mechagon and Nazjatar, flying is allowed once it has been unlocked for the respective account.
How do you unlock flying in Battle for Azeroth? Currently, this is not possible. Players can, however, already complete the first achievement “Pathfinder of Battle for Azeroth,” which increases mount speed in Zuldazar and Kul Tiras. This achievement will be a prerequisite for the second part of the achievement that comes with Patch 8.2. Only once both parts are completed will players be able to fly.
What can players expect in Patch 8.2? We have already explained many details about Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara in this article. Basically, in addition to the two new zones, there is also a new raid where players will face off against Azshara. In Mechagon, however, there is a “megadungeon” that is supposed to be roughly the size of the new Karazhan, potentially entertaining small groups of players for several hours. Apart from that, there are many improvements to the Azerite system, as well as new companions and reputation factions.
