The race for the First Kills in World of Warcraft is getting exciting. Several guilds want to livestream their progress!
With the opening of the “Battle of Dazar’Alor” raid, the race for the First Kills in the mythic version of the raid is about to begin again. The professional guilds have prepared themselves. For those interested, the race for the First Kills will be a feast, as anyone can watch the raids in livestream. Already, two of the most successful guilds have announced their intention to stream their progress completely.

A few years ago, raids were always done “secretly” so that other competitors could not copy strategies or receive useful hints. Streaming was even expressly prohibited for players. Professional raiders take marketing into their own hands: Since Blizzard pays little attention to the race for the First Kills and does not reward it with prize money or other rewards, the professionals have taken their income into their own hands. Thanks to numerous sponsors and donations through the streams, the race for the First Kills has become a solid source of income for many, making high-level play profitable.
When does the race start? The race for the First Kills starts on January 30. By then, the Americans actually had a 14-hour head start to play the mythic raid – in the past, this head start has rarely made a difference.
