The new game mode of World of Warcraft starts today. We will share everything important you need to know for the launch.
In World of Warcraft, a new experimental game mode starts today. “WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria” revives the old island of the Pandaren and allows you to level up characters extremely quickly while unlocking plenty of rewards that you can then use in the main game.
The most important information at a glance:
- You create a new character at level 10 for the game mode.
- You only need a subscription and not the latest expansion.
- The character is on your realm but is initially bound to Pandaria and the game mode.
- Leveling goes drastically faster – you gain about 3 times the XP as usual, and the amount can still be increased.
- You can dismantle loot into Bronze. This is a currency that unlocks rewards.
- There are many different gems that you can place in your gear. They grant you special abilities.
When does WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria start? The launch of the new game mode is on May 16, 2024, at 7:00 PM. From then on, you can choose “WoW Remix” and create one or more characters.
Note that with patch 10.2.7, the character limit per account was raised from 60 to 65. So, you can create 5 new characters to play in Pandaria.
How do you get rewards? Some rewards are automatically unlocked while playing – such as transmog templates or toys from Pandaria that you have not yet unlocked on your account.
A much larger portion of the rewards – including mounts, pets, and new transmog templates – you will receive through Bronze. This is a new resource. You receive Bronze whenever you dismantle loot you do not need. This is possible at an “Eternal Bazaar”, which exists in every zone.
You can then exchange Bronze at vendors for rewards of your choice. This way, you can specifically work toward what you want. If you are not interested in transmog templates, you can leave those behind and save only for the expensive mounts.
Are there dungeons & raids? Yes. All dungeons, raids, and scenarios from Mists of Pandaria are available. Some of them can even be visited extremely early. You can already enter the Mogu’shan Vault at level 25 and defeat raid bosses there. The bosses scale with your level, so even as a low-level character, you have a strong impact.
