Blizzard changes the rules of WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. From now on, everything goes much, much faster – because you will get more Bronze and Power.
For almost a month now, WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria has been available. In this game mode, you not only level up your twinks super fast, but you can also earn almost unlimited power and a lot of cosmetics. Now a new buff has become active that makes everything even faster and ensures that you collect Bronze at nearly double the speed.
What has changed? A new buff has been active for a few hours in the WoW: Remix game mode. If you look at your buff list, you will now see the strengthening effect “Timerunner’s Mastery,” which has two different effects:
- Bronze from all bronze chests will be doubled.
- Threads from all Eternity Spools will be tripled.
What does that mean exactly? In plain language, this means that you will collect Bronze much faster in the future when playing content that rewards bronze chests. This mainly applies to raids, which grant a bronze chest for every boss on normal or heroic difficulty. But the daily quests from the Eternal Dragonflight camps now also grant double Bronze – so 2,500 Bronze per quest instead of the previous 1,250.
Overall, raids should now be significantly more lucrative than before, as the Bronze per hour has almost doubled.
At the same time, your character’s power should grow much faster, as the power gain from all Eternity Spools (of every quality) has tripled. Where a legendary spool previously granted 180 threads, there are now a whopping 540 threads. Also remember to complete your special scenario every day to become really strong quickly.
Why is Blizzard doing this? Blizzard has closely examined the feedback from the last few weeks and wants to make the next 2 months even more enjoyable for the community.
The original plan was to reduce the upgrade costs for items in Remix and to reward all players who have already upgraded their equipment retroactively.
However, this did not work due to some technical issues regarding how WoW Remix interacts with Dragonflight. For this reason, they decided to implement these buffs instead, from which everyone benefits – whether one has already spent a lot of Bronze or is still at the beginning of the journey in Remix.
Community reaction: In the community, the buffs are generally received positively. Most are pleased that Bronze can now be obtained much faster. Some forward-thinking players had already suspected such a buff and saved up many bronze chests. They proudly show off their screenshots of dozens of bronze chests that they will now redeem.
However, there is also a part of the community that is somewhat dissatisfied. Many have played Mists of Pandaria very intensely in the first few weeks, poured all their Bronze into equipment, and farmed extremely hard. They feel a bit burnt out – and believe they would not have played so much if it had been clear in advance that Blizzard would massively increase the acquisition of Bronze and threads afterwards. At least farming Bronze is now significantly faster.
What do you think of the change? A good thing to unlock everything? Or a bit unfair to those who have already invested a lot?
