The records keep falling in World of Warcraft. Now a group has even accomplished Mythic +34 – it wasn’t even close.
Although in World of Warcraft everyone is currently waiting for the new expansion Shadowlands, some players are still hanging around in “Mythic+” dungeons. Despite the removal of Corruption, a few records are still falling. The first group has now managed to complete a Mythic +34 keystone within the time limit.
What happened? While most are staring at the pre-event for Shadowlands, some still play Mythic+. A group has now managed to complete the dungeon Mechagon: Junkyard on mythic level 34. The group consisted of:
- Bamesjond (Affliction Warlock)
- Equibus (Frost Mage)
- Flippys (Brewmaster Monk)
- Lagbugdc (Holy Paladin)
- Som (Outlaw Rogue)
In the end, they still had plenty of time left. A solid 1:34 minutes remained – they could have almost taken down another boss.
How is this possible? Despite the removal of Corruption effects, many dungeons in Battle for Azeroth have become easier. This is also due to some changes made in the background, such as the Level Squish. These include:
- The debuff of the affix “Bursting” no longer deals percentage-based damage, but a fixed value per stack. Additionally, it is now a magic effect and can be dispelled.
- The Azerite ability “Heart of Darkness” is now permanently active, even without Corruption. This provides a significant boost to secondary stats.
- The scaling within “Mythic+” dungeons is slightly weaker.
Despite all these adjustments, Mythic+34 is still a really big number. After all, such a feat is not even necessary, as rewards do not increase beyond Mythic+15.
What was your highest keystone that you completed in Battle for Azeroth?
