Do you want to have the voice of an Orc in WoW ? With this microphone, you can – and it can do a whole lot more.
When it comes to interesting merchandise related to World of Warcraft, fans are often willing to spend a bit more. But what if it not only looks nice but is also practical? That’s exactly what the USB microphone Yeti X in the “World of Warcraft” edition from Blue Microphones is all about, which has now been introduced.
What can the microphone do? In addition to its obvious purpose – capturing your voice – the Yeti X in the “World of Warcraft” edition has a whole range of additional features.
There is a voice changer that offers numerous options for how your voice should be output. Most templates are based on residents of Azeroth – such as demons, Orcs, or gnomes.
With the software, you can additionally output over 200 different sounds directly from WoW. If you want to annoy your friends on Discord with the charismatic gurgle of a Murloc, you can now do so at the push of a button. Some of the sounds even come from the still unreleased expansion Shadowlands, which has recently been postponed.
Visually, the microphone is also impressive, as it can be illuminated with several LED lights and small runes at the base.
Who is this for? Essentially, the microphone is of course aimed at all fans of World of Warcraft who use their voice in one way or another while gaming. This primarily includes streamers, podcasters, or content creators on YouTube or other platforms.
However, even the casual player might feel addressed. Whether a casual gamer, who only occasionally messes around in LFR and doesn’t rely on voice chat, really wants to reach for such a microphone has to be decided by each individual.
How much does the Yeti X Microphone cost? The microphone is expected to be available in October and is sold for the hefty price of nearly €210. For stand microphones, the price is thus rather in the mid-range.
By the way, we at MeinMMO are currently testing the microphone thoroughly and will report in the coming days on how well the Yeti X Microphone actually performs. Then we can say more accurately whether it’s a worthwhile investment or just a nice toy.
Are you interested in such a microphone? What features should it have for you to treat yourself to something like that?
