Blizzard removed the Master Looter option for loot distribution with the Pre-Patch 8.0 for WoW: Battle for Azeroth. A guild leader is resorting to drastic measures. Anyone who wants to participate must contractually agree to follow the raid’s loot rules.
The guild leader sets up a contract: On an English realm, a guild leader apparently set up a contract to regulate the awarding of the mount from Argus in the Mythic mode of Antorus, the Burning Throne.
Everyone in the guild who does not have the mount yet should sign – with their real name and character name.

Harsh rules for loot
The story was posted by a German user in the forums. He plays in an international guild on an English realm. According to the user, the guild leader set up the contract in Danish, presumably his native language.
Why the contract? The contract was set up by the concerned guild leader to regulate the distribution of the mount “Shackled Ur’zul,” which only drops in Mythic mode. Previously, there was already a list in the raid with an order of players who were to receive the mount on the next kill.
To ensure this, the guild leader requires agreement to his contract. Players who receive the mount are contractually obliged to pass it on to the player next on the list.

€349 fine threatened
Severe penalties: As a sign that he is serious, the guild leader has included harsh penalties in the contract. He checked the value of the mount on a third-party site – anyone who does not comply with the contract will have to pay a fine of €349.
The contract is said to be legal, and anyone wishing to contest it must appear personally at the Danish district court. Moreover, anyone who does not agree will reportedly be exposed and criticized in Discord – and excluded from the raid, according to the author of the forum post.
Three people initially did not want to sign. All three were approached and pressured right before the Argus pull – two acquiesced.

Where the idea comes from: The contract came about because Blizzard removed the Master Looter option with the Pre-Patch for the new expansion Battle for Azeroth . Master Looter was a loot option where the designated master could freely distribute all loot received in the raid.
Since Patch 8.0, however, there is only the so-called “Personal Loot” – each player only receives loot as a random drop. This can still be traded to other players as long as it is not an upgrade.
What do you think about the action? Do you find it excessive, or can you even understand it? How do you handle loot since the new system? Let us know in a comment!
