WoW Raid Guide Antorus: Eonar, the Lifebinder – The Warcraft TD!
The fifth encounter of the instance does not have a boss per se. The soul of the titan Eonar is trapped, and you are trying to free her. Waves of enemies rush towards her to kill her. Your task is to protect her.
To achieve the goal, the Paraxis, which oversees the entire fight, must be destroyed. This can only be done by Eonar herself by performing an attack on it four times upon reaching 100 energy. Her energy is charged by killing enemies.
To assist, Eonar grants players the ability Tidal Wave of Life, which launches the character high into the air and briefly lets them glide. Upon reactivation, the ability allows for precise landing in the target area. This makes movement across the large area significantly easier.
The Enemies
From three points, waves of enemies flow toward the center, where Eonar’s soul rests. Most of the enemies completely ignore players and rush to the center, are susceptible to control effects, and attack Eonar when they reach her. If Eonar’s soul is destroyed, the entire group is wiped.
The majority of the enemies consist of simple foot soldiers:
- Fel Guards: Enemies with normal movement speed and average health.
- Fel Hounds: Very fast enemies with lower health.
- Fel Lords: Very slow enemies with high health.
- Flying Kerapterons: Enemies with normal speed and health, but they fly and thus ignore most obstacles and paths.

From time to time, special enemies appear that make the fight harder. These foes must be actively fought by the group and usually tanked since they influence the other foot soldiers.
- Fel-Infused Darkener: The Darkeners prevent enemies in their vicinity from being targeted. They are immune to any form of group control and cannot be taunted, seeking a direct path to Eonar.
- Even if you cannot target enemies around them, AoE effects still work on them. It is therefore easier to separate them from the remaining troops by slowing them down and allowing the Darkener to charge ahead. Darkeners should be prioritized for elimination.
- Fel-Powered Purifiers (Heroic only): All foot soldiers near Purifiers become immune to any form of control and slows. Hence they need to be taunted immediately and pulled away from the smaller enemies.
- In addition to enhancing the foot soldiers, Purifiers have an attack in a cone-shaped area in front of them. Therefore, tanks should never turn them towards the group.
- Fel-Reaver: These massive demon hunters become active shortly after they appear. Once they appear, melee fighters should distance themselves from them and wait until a tank has safely taunted them.
- If this doesn’t happen immediately, the Destroyer will deal a lethal blow to the first melee and, as long as no target is within melee range, will cast Artillery Strike. These attacks reach Eonar immediately and deal her immense damage. Destroyers must therefore be continuously tanked in melee and eliminated as quickly as possible.

The Paraxis
Throughout the fight, a legion battleship, the Paraxis, oversees the engagement, deploying two (three on Heroic) abilities:
- Artillery of the Paraxis: Deals damage to random targets that need to be healed back.
- Demonic Rain: Random players are marked with a green circle. Shortly thereafter, they and all allies within 8 meters take significant damage. Affected players should not be standing close together and should spread at the edges of the paths while the rest of the raid stands in the center.
- Spear of Damnation (Heroic): This ability is similar to that of the Sentinax at Broken Shore. A player is fixated by a beam that follows them while leaving fire areas behind that deal high damage per tick and accelerate foot soldiers. It is best managed by dragging the beam along the edges.
The Fight
The enemies come from three different paths: bottom, middle, and top. The order is always the same, and portals announce where the next wave of enemies comes from. The number and type of enemies are the same in each fight.
Note: Since this information is from the PTR, there may be changes in the order! Boss mod addons like Deadly Boss Mods or BigWigs are highly recommended!
The paths are connected by jumping platforms. Additionally, Eonar’s extra ability, Tidal Wave of Life, helps you quickly switch positions. This becomes especially important later in the fight when multiple portals are active.
- Middle Portal: Fel Guards and a Fel-Reaver. Clear the foot soldiers and tank, interrupt and kill the Reaver as quickly as possible.
- Lower Portal: Fel Hounds and a Reaver. The path is best reached by simply jumping down. Get rid of the dogs and then kill the Reaver.
- Middle Portal: Fel Guards and a Reaver. Using the jumping platform from the lower path quickly brings you back to the center to fight a wave identical to the first.
- Upper Portal: Fel Lords, a Fel-Infused Darkener (Heroic only), and a Reaver. Use the jumping platform and then the extra ability to reach the very top. Kill the Darkener first, then the Lords, and finally the Reaver, which must be continuously tanked.
- Lower Portal: Fel Guards and a Fel-Powered Purifier (Heroic) or a Darkener (Normal). Pull the Purifier away from the foot soldiers and kill the adds, then the Purifier.
- Upper Portal (Heroic): Fel Guards, flying Kerapterons, a Purifier, and a Darkener. The upper portal appears shortly after the lower. The Kerapterons appear in their own portal near the upper. The group should be split here so that just over half of the players remain at the top.
- Kill the Darkener, then the foot soldiers, and finally the Purifiers. The Kerapterons will find their own way along the middle path to Eonar. Catch them there after the other waves are destroyed and prevent them from reaching their target. In normal mode, this portal appears after the following middle portal!
While you fight the Kerapterons, the next two portals will already be opening.
- Upper Portal (Heroic): Fel Hounds.
- Middle Portal: Fel Guards, a Reaver (Heroic only), and a Darkener.
At this point, the raid needs to be split to defend all areas simultaneously. Tanks should focus on the center, as neither the Kerapterons nor the Fel Hounds need to be tanked. A healer per group at these spots should suffice.
- Lower Portal: Fel Lords and a Reaver. At this point, Eonar should be near the fourth and final cast of Lifeforce. From here it will be a race against time. If you manage to fill her energy in time before being overrun, you win the fight here.
