Sometimes not only the players cheat, but also the bosses in WoW. Sludgefist has learned new tricks to troll the raiders.
Some bosses in World of Warcraft have it quite tough. Every day they are overwhelmed by nasty players and still have to stick to strict rules. Once the players have found a solid strategy, it is always repeated, and the boss has to follow the rules.
Sludgefist from Castle Nathria apparently had enough of that and made his own rules – which brought him victory over the players.
What happened? In the WoW subreddit, the user NickyG91 posted a short clip from the fight against Sludgefist in Castle Nathria. The clip shows the boss’s transition phase. Here the tank is targeted before Sludgefist charges straight at the tank to reach him and ideally destroy one of the pillars.
Apparently Sludgefist learned how to drift? from r/wow
However, the Sludgefist in the video apparently has no desire to follow the tactics and rules of the players. Instead of charging in a straight line, he just runs in a zigzag pattern to perfectly avoid all the pillars and charge directly into a wall.
Accordingly, the raid reacts surprised and with a lot of “WTF?” and laughs off the defeat.
Why is this strange? Normally, Sludgefist charges straight at the targeted player, allowing you to let him run into the four pillars one by one. This stuns him and makes him take additional damage for a few seconds before the fight continues as usual.
However, if you fail to complete the task and let Sludgefist run directly into a wall, he collapses the entire hall, causing lethal damage within seconds.
Little wonder, then, that the fight ended with a defeat of the raid team within seconds. Some bosses seem to be learning after all.
Have you ever experienced such a bug or another interesting incident in the current raid?
As of today, 10 specializations have been buffed – is yours one of them?
