The WoW quest “The Final Pieces” is causing issues. However, there is a very simple solution. We will show you how to complete the quest.
In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands many players are currently trying to craft their first legendary item. This guide to crafting explains how it works. However, the last quest is particularly problematic, as many players are unable to complete it. The reason for this is a small bug in the game, which can be easily fixed. We will reveal how you can complete “The Final Pieces”.
What is the problem? The quest “The Final Pieces” wants players to bring a total of 3 different items to the runesmith in Torghast. These are:
- A runic vessel
- 2 different writings
- A memory of the runesmith
The runic vessel is essentially the “raw item” that you get from crafting professions. The various writings can be obtained from scribes and the memory is the legendary power you acquire from various game content.
However, some players find that the various writings are not counted, even though they have them in their inventory. The problem is that the game must register that you “loot” the items. You cannot take them from the guild bank.
These writings are actually called “Missives” and you can acquire them from the scribe of your choice or the auction house. The options are:
- Missive of Versatility
- Missive of Mastery
- Missive of Haste
- Missive of Critical Strike
All missives grant your legendary item the corresponding secondary attribute.
How to fix the problem? If you are experiencing issues with the two missives, you can fix it quite quickly. You just need to ensure that you “loot” the missives once.
- To do this, it is sufficient to list the writings briefly on the auction house and then cancel the auction immediately.
- Alternatively, you can send the writings to an alt character and have the letter sent back to you directly.
Once you have done this, there should be no more issues with the quest, and the corresponding step should be marked as “Completed”.
It is expected that Blizzard will fix this problem with a hotfix in the coming days. Then you should be able to complete the quest without these little detours again.
