The fate of Sylvanas is occupying the community of World of Warcraft. The Game Director has now made some statements about it.
Only a few characters are as controversial in World of Warcraft as Sylvanas Windrunner. She is the current Warchief of the Horde, but many players hate her – even within the Horde. Players fear that the cycle in the Horde will repeat itself and Sylvanas will end up like Garrosh – before a war tribunal.
Parallels between Sylvanas and Garrosh: Many players are especially bothered by the fact that Sylvanas, in their eyes, is just a “Garrosh 2.0”. This means that Sylvanas is making the same mistakes as Garrosh, only leading with war in mind and pushing for the destruction of all other races that do not fit into “her” Horde. However, it was already stated at BlizzCon that Garrosh was, from Sylvanas’ perspective, “just an amateur”.
Sylvanas does not share Garrosh’s fate: In an interview with Polygon, Ion Hazzikostas from the WoW team promised that Sylvanas would not meet the same end as Garrosh.
“There will be no trial where she is chained. Sylvanas is not a character who would find herself in that situation. Never.”
It remains exciting to see how things will progress with Sylvanas in the future. So far, players are still waiting for her path to differ from Garrosh’s.

Sylvanas has a dark future: There are already hints that Sylvanas will have a dark future. Because soon the players will bring her Xal’atath, the former blade of the shadow priests. This has already driven many people to madness with its whispering.
What do you hope, how will the story around Sylvanas Windrunner find an end? Will she end as a villain and boss to be defeated by the players? Or will she find a “good way” and somehow become a heroine?
