It took more than two weeks for the players of World of Warcraft to solve this puzzle. An event in Mechagon has a secret “Hardmode”.
Mechagon is rightly considered the area with the most secrets in World of Warcraft. Many of the puzzles have already been solved in the past weeks or even on the PTR, but there are still some hidden contents.
Especially a few missing blueprints for the robot Pascal-K1N6 are still causing trouble for the players. Now, after almost 2 weeks, the players have discovered a hidden “Hardmode” of an event – the Reclamation Rig. As a reward, one of the hidden blueprints awaits.
What is the Reclamation Rig? In the southeast of Mechagon (directly above “The Outlet”), there is the construction project of the Reclamation Rig. Every few hours, players can invest numerous scrap parts and power cores here to get the tower running again.
Once that’s done, an event starts that requires multiple players. Waves of contaminated enemies attack and want to destroy the tower. If the event is successfully completed, there is a reward and plenty of scrap just from killing the enemies.
How to activate Hard Mode: To activate the Reclamation Rig in “Hard Mode”, at least one player must carry the item “Particle Accelerator”. This is one of the experimental weapons assembled by the goblins during a daily quest.
After assembly, it is available when the weapon stations are available for construction (where you also get the jetpacks from).
The player must now hit a total of 20 “Radiated Elementals” with the Hammer using the Particle Accelerator. These transform into “Unstable Radiated Elementals” upon being hit and have significantly more health points.
If this is done during the event with 20 radiated elementals, then in the last phase you will not have to fight against Neutrium Races, but against 3 Unstable Radiated Golems. These are not much harder to defeat, they just have more health points.
What rewards are there? Anyone participating in the event receives, in addition to the normal rewards, an “Radiated Box with Parts”. This box guarantees the blueprint: Rustbolt Requisition, which is needed for the achievement Scrap Yard Architect. Additionally, you have a chance to obtain the pet Echo Slime.
