Multiboxers in World of Warcraft can be quite exhausting. Especially when they share all resources among themselves.
While there are clear botters and cheaters in World of Warcraft who clearly violate rules, there is also a group of players that has a similarly bad reputation. We are talking about multiboxers, who in some cases make farming impossible for regular players. This is especially a huge problem in Nazjatar – the resources almost exclusively go to multiboxers.
What are Multiboxers? Multiboxers are players who operate and play multiple accounts in parallel. They are often seen moving in a large group, usually playing multiple instances of the same class. Additional programs are used to control the different characters. Typically, there is a “main character” and the rest of the characters follow or take over its target.
What is the problem with Multiboxers? Multiboxers have a bad reputation among many players. A large portion of players feels that multiboxing comes close to “cheating” because it provides a strength that a single player cannot have otherwise. A multiboxer can not only gather a multiple of resources (herbs and ores), but also quickly dismantle other players in open-PvP – usually requiring only one or two abilities.
Elsewhere, players are currently frustrated by N’Zoth – and “stupid” teammates.
Why is Nazjatar particularly bad? In Nazjatar, Multiboxers are particularly conspicuous. This is because Nazjatar is the only area where Zin’anthid grows – an herb needed by several professions, such as alchemy. Only with this herb can the best flasks be crafted.
If a large part of the multiboxers focuses on this area and many realms also have “cross-realm” zones, then it may happen that “normal players” hardly get any resources. Because although herbs and ores can be mined by several players, there is a limit. This is typically exhausted by the multiboxers, so the herbs are “empty” when other players reach them.
This leads to situations like the one reported by Snowlightsun on Reddit. Here he sees three multiboxers in one place – each with a whole horde of alternate characters in tow on their farming route.

There is little left for “normal” players.
At least in PvP battlegrounds, multiboxing has already been banned.
