In the history of WoW, there have been some achievements and titles that cannot be earned anymore today. This is particularly frustrating when you met the associated requirements in time, but the rewards were never granted due to a bug. One affected individual fought with Blizzard for 12 years to rectify this.
Which achievement from WoW is it about? During the “Mists of Pandaria” expansion, Warlocks could stumble upon a “Sealed Tome of the Lost Legion” on the Isle of Thunder and start a quest line that allowed them to earn exclusive achievements, titles, and the so-called “green fire” for the Warlock’s fire spells.
The latter is still possible today. The achievement “Breaker of the Black Harvest” as well as the associated title “of the Black Harvest” were later turned into feats of strength and removed from the MMORPG.

What exactly was the problem with the achievement? On Reddit, WoW player Gaspinawe describes that he met the requirements for the achievement and title with his Warlock in time, but he was never rewarded in the game for it. From his perspective, it was clear: This must be a bug. So he contacted Blizzard’s support to have it checked.
This marked the beginning of a 12-year journey that apparently consisted of countless “tickets, screenshots, logs, and GM chats.” Despite all the information and evidence provided, the response every year was always polite and the same: “Unfortunately, we can no longer verify that.”
In early 2024, Gaspinawe then frustratingly gave up. He also lost interest in his Warlock due to the long fight. Blizzard and the bug had won.
Does it come to a happy ending? This week, Gaspinawe had a lucky day with his Druid. From Tindral in Amirdrassil, he finally got the “Feather of the Red Smoke Moon,” which allows you to take on the form of the Fire Moonkin. And then from Fyrakk, the “Reins of Anu’relos, Guidance of the Flame” also dropped.
A jackpot day, then.
And what did Gaspinawe do? Fill out a lottery ticket? Nope! Create another ticket for Blizzard support? Yup! And behold: “A legendary Blizzard employee graced me with their glorious presence and finally bestowed upon me the title of a member of the Black Harvest.” After 12 years, he finally received his recognition on this lucky day.
