Mounts are among the most sought-after collectibles in World of Warcraft. You get 8 mounts if you play a Dracthyr – in just about 30 minutes.
In World of Warcraft, the new class “Invoker” is already playable for everyone who pre-ordered Dragonflight. This also lets you experience the new starting area of the Dracthyr and enjoy this story. Since each race in World of Warcraft also has its own mounts, the Dracthyr has a whole range of them as well. You can get a total of 8 new mounts, known as “Vorquin”.
The best part: You need less than 30 minutes to unlock all 8 mounts.
What kind of mounts are these? The Vorquin are a variation of the “Monohorn” model from Legion. They use the same animations and a modified model, but have a distinctly unique look and are much fluffier than their relatives from Legion.
You get a total of 8 of these Vorquin:
- 4 count as ordinary mounts (blue) and are just different colorations:
- Purple Vorquin
- Sapphire Vorquin
- Obsidian Vorquin
- Bronze Vorquin
- 4 count as epic mounts and come with additional armor and embellishments.
- Guardian Vorquin
- Armored Vorquin Grandstride
- Swift Armored Vorquin
- Majestic Vorquin
What do you need to do? The task is quite simple. Create a Dracthyr Invoker and just start playing the starting area – if you still need a dragon name, we can help here. During the first quests, you’ll discover what actually happened to the Dracthyr, meet some members of your Weyrn, and explore the starting area. After about half of the starting area – which may take 20 to 30 minutes depending on your playstyle – you will receive the quest “Cavalry Has Its Place” from Treysh.

The mission has only one purpose: to provide you with mounts and grant you riding skill. You can receive one of the 4 Vorquin mounts for free. But don’t worry: You can buy the other 7 directly from the same NPC afterwards!
By the way, we already had enough gold on the characters at the time of the quest to buy all 8 mounts. So, no gold needs to be transferred between characters – your collection is easily expanded by 8 really cool mounts.
