The next patch for World of Warcraft starts in a few days and brings many changes. We will tell you what is in the new update.
World of Warcraft will get the first major content patch since the launch of the expansion The War Within in just a few days. While many groups are still tackling the current raid Palace of the Nerub-ar, the raid is now almost nerfing itself.
What kind of patch is this? Patch 11.0.5 is entirely dedicated to the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft. The anniversary will be celebrated extensively, bigger and more extensive than ever before. There will be numerous new activities and even a special event raid that will remain active for several months.
Transmog collectors can look forward to high-resolution variants of the popular “Tier 2” set from the vanilla version of World of Warcraft – but everyone else will also see plenty of rewards.
Apart from that, Dracthyr will get a new feature – namely much more variety in classes. Dracthyr will no longer only be able to play as Evokers but will now have access to the following classes:
- Hunter
- Rogue
- Priest
- Mage
- Warrior
- Warlock

In addition to the birthday event, there are also several revisions to the different classes. Some of the hero talents were simply not in an optimal state at the launch of the expansion. Blizzard is now addressing this and bringing larger adjustments for some classes.
We have summarized some of the most important innovations here in a quick overview:
- Death Knight’s Deathbringer is completely revamped, gaining 3 entirely new talents.
- Balance Druids receive numerous new talents while old ones are removed. The playstyle of the specialization should feel significantly better.
- Restoration Druids get some new talents that enhance both damage and healing.
- Hunters receive extensive adjustments, especially for the hero talents of the Night Hunter.
- Paladins receive over 20 new talents.
- Mages receive a revamp of all hero talent trees, especially with many detail changes.
When will the patch be released? The Patch 11.0.5 goes live on October 23, which is already next week. From then on, the birthday celebrations will also start and you can earn various rewards.
