The latest major patch of World of Warcraft is finally live. The end of eternity has begun and brings many new contents.
It was one of the more strenuous content droughts in World of Warcraft, but now it has come to an end. The latest update is finally live. The Patch 9.2 End of Eternity has been deployed on the servers and the realms are accessible again since 10:30 AM. After you have installed the patch, you can start right away.
What’s in Patch 9.2? Basically, Patch 9.2 appears rather classic. There is a new area, Zereth Mortis. However, those expecting a small area the size of Korthia are mistaken. Zereth Mortis is significantly larger and more extensive, resembling Nazjatar. There is thus much more area and therefore much more to discover and accomplish day by day.
The tasks include weekly and daily quests, a new reputation faction, plenty of rare mobs and treasures, as well as numerous rewards in the form of mounts and battle pets.
While there are no new dungeons, fans of “Mythic+” can enjoy visiting Tazavesh, divided into two smaller dungeons, each with 4 bosses.
The Tower of Torghast has been expanded with new layers and even a new game mode. In the “Jailers Gauntlet,” you must overcome a series of increasingly challenging boss fights, for which cosmetic rewards await.
What’s coming next? In the upcoming weeks, more content will be unlocked. Besides the additional chapters of the Covenant campaign, Shadowlands Season 3 for PvP and Mythic+ will start. Additionally, the raid Mausoleum of the First with a whopping 11 bosses will open. As usual, this unlocking will happen progressively – we have all the dates for the Mausoleum of the First here for you.
Also new is the feature to soon be able to wear 2 legendary items at the same time. This will significantly boost character power and drastically simplify progress in the new raid.
What comes after? How exactly World of Warcraft will continue after Patch 9.2 is still not entirely clear. However, it is certain that 9.2 was the last major update and the saga of Shadowlands will be concluded. A smaller Patch 9.2.5 has already been confirmed, which primarily brings “Cross-Faction Play,” allowing Horde and Alliance to visit dungeons and raids together.
How it continues with 10.0 is currently unknown. But perhaps the cinematic at the end of the raid “Mausoleum of the First” will provide an answer.
