The wait is finally over. Patch 9.1.5 of World of Warcraft will be released in a few weeks. The release date is known.
For many weeks, the PTR for Patch 9.1.5 has been active in World of Warcraft, with a release candidate deployed on October 21. Blizzard seems to be confident that the completion of the patch is imminent, as a release date has now been published. It will be happening in less than 2 weeks.
When is the release of Patch 9.1.5? Patch 9.1.5 will officially be released on November 3, 2021. As usual, it will start a day earlier in America (on November 2), due to the time difference and varying maintenance times.
What are the highlights of the patch? Patch 9.1.5 is just a small “interim patch” – especially many new contents, like raids and areas, should not be expected. However, the patch brings the timewalking: Legion and thus the return of the popular Mage Tower. In this, all players can unlock new cosmetics, especially bear druids will benefit here.
Apart from that, there are new character customizations for some races, including Nightborne, Lightforged Draenei, and Void Elves.
What else is in Patch 9.1.5? Apart from that, Patch 9.1.5 is full of small improvements, mainly aimed at enhancing the game experience. Some smaller, but very important changes for some players include:
- Covenants can be switched freely – without cooldowns or drawbacks.
- Island Expeditions can now also be played solo to farm old transmogs.
- Allied races are easier to unlock. The respective quest step that required visiting a dungeon is eliminated.
- Farming Soul Ash, Soul Cinders, and cataloged research in Korthia has been drastically simplified.
- Entire transmog sets can be saved as a special set and linked in chat, allowing other players to quickly see which items are needed.
- Many old bosses in Legion raids (especially Antorus) have been simplified, allowing these raids to be farmed solo.
