WoW: Patch 8.3 is delayed, Europe realms are causing issues – [Update: Is live]

The maintenance for patch 8.3 in World of Warcraft is delayed. We still have to wait a bit for the update.

Actually, the maintenance work on the European realms of World of Warcraft should have been in full swing by now, but that is not the case. The patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth will be delayed a bit in Europe and will only be released a little later. So, those who want to play this morning will have to be patient.

What happened? Last night, community manager Kaivax announced in the official forum that there is a problem with patch 8.3. Therefore, the planned maintenance work will be postponed a bit. This affects the playability of World of Warcraft, as the realms are unavailable without the patch.

What exact problem has arisen is unclear and has not been revealed by Blizzard. However, there has already been such a delay with the American realms.

Realm status / Server status – When will it continue?

How long will the maintenance take now? The new date for the maintenance is exactly now at 6:00 AM. The maintenance will last 8 hours, so it is expected to last until 2:00 PM. After that, the realms should be functioning again and the new patch playable.

However, it is quite possible that the maintenance will be completed earlier. If that is the case, we will inform you.

Update: That went significantly faster than expected. The WoW patch 8.3 has been online since about 8:30 AM.
