The latest patch for World of Warcraft is now live. We will tell you what has changed in Tides of Vengeance.
After long weeks of waiting, the latest patch of World of Warcraft is finally live. As of today (12.12.2018), players can dive into patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance and experience new content in Kul Tiras and Zandalar.
Many things are available immediately: Numerous contents can be experienced right from day one. These include:
- The new Warfront Darkshore. The Alliance can immediately gather resources, while the Horde controls Darkshore and can complete world quests there.
- The faction incursions – Various areas will be subject to faction attacks that offer new world quests
- The Azerite vendor is here. Those who wish can specifically farm Azerite armor and be prepared for any eventuality.
- There are new Island Expeditions and they operate under a new system.
- Paragon rewards are back and entice with small toys and pets.
Many contents will come later: Many contents of the patch will, however, only be unlocked in the coming weeks and months. For example, the raid “Battle of Dazar’alor” will not begin until late January. Then, the new PvP season will also start, and the difficulty of all dungeons will be increased.
There is also a second raid under the Shrine of the Storm – but we will probably have to wait until Spring 2019 for that.
Fans are disappointed: Many players are already disappointed with the patch before they have even played it. This is because Blizzard has not addressed fundamental issues, and some classes are still waiting for their revamp, which was intended for patch 8.1. For these players, WoW is probably only interesting again when the next major patch arrives.
