The next update of World of Warcraft is in the starting blocks. Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt will launch in 2 weeks – and the new season shortly thereafter.
Meanwhile, even the slowest players have probably completed the story of World of Warcraft The War Within and have feasted their eyes on the depths and dungeons. It’s time for the first, really big patch – Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt. It finally has a release date and brings a lot of goblin action.
When does Patch 11.1 go live? The official launch date for Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt is 26.02.25 – that is, Wednesday in two weeks. As usual, the patch goes live on the US realms a day earlier.
When does Season 2 start? As usual, the new season does not start directly with the launch of the patch, but is slightly delayed – by exactly one week. The start of Season 2 is therefore on March 5. This should give everyone enough time to check out the new story, familiarize themselves with the changes, and then be able to jump into the new endgame content.
What’s included in the new patch? The centerpiece of the patch is the new area Lorenhall. This is the capital of the goblins, which has not been seen in the game so far, but has been mentioned multiple times in the story. Different cartels rule here, and you must join one of them – but you can switch every week.
There’s also the raid “The Liberation of Lorenhall,” where you must face Jastor Gallywix. He has teamed up with Xal’atath – she wants his help. You’ll find out what it’s all about best by experiencing it yourself.
Movement in Lorenhall is also a bit different. Instead of using flying mounts, you naturally use motorized vehicles in the goblin metropolis. They can even reach higher speeds than dynamic flying.
