The next update of World of Warcraft is live. We reveal what’s included in Patch 11.1.5 – and which content will be available from April 23, 2025.
It wasn’t long ago that Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt was released for World of Warcraft. But the developers are setting a strong pace. Right after the release, the next update was already unveiled – Patch 11.1.5. This comes with three major features that should appeal to almost every type of player.
The essentials at a glance:
- Patch 11.1.5 is set to release on April 23, 2025, but will come in a staggered form.
- Available from launch day: Nightfall scenario, cooldown manager, and the winds of mysterious fortune.
- There is a new faction with 10 glory levels, new events in Heilsturz and Azj-Kahet.
- Disturbing Visions from Battle for Azeroth return on May 21, 2025, with new rewards and challenges.
- Treacherous Duos is a new 6-week event where you fight old bosses – multiple at once. Starts on June 4, 2025.
- No new raids or dungeons; the patch still belongs to Season 2.
The new features of Patch 11.1.5
In total, there are 3 major new core features of Patch 11.1.5.
Nightfall – New Glory Faction with Activities
The story of the Arathi from Heilsturz continues. After Queen Ansurek was overthrown, chaos reigns among the Nerubians. The Sureki, loyalists of the deposed queen, continue their attacks against the Arathi. The new faction “Radiance of Flame” stands against the Nightfall. You rise through several ranks and collect glory, which unlocks new rewards in the form of transmog, mount modifications, and buffs in Heilsturz in Azj-Kahet.
This goes hand in hand with new quests and multiple scenarios, where the characters are divided into several task forces. More details about the event can be found on page 2.
Treacherous Duos – Boss Fights with a Twist
At some point after the patch’s release, the “Treacherous Duos” event will start for 6 weeks. In this event, you register as a group and must fight bosses in their “animatronic” version in an arena.
The special catch: You have to fight multiple bosses at once, so their mechanics overlap and are likely to cause plenty of chaos. Initially, only 4 bosses will be available, but new bosses will unlock each week.
Even though the event is called “Treacherous Duos”, you can fight more than just two bosses at the same time – but whether you can withstand this chaos remains to be proven.
Rewards here include cosmetic items like transmogs and toys – and of course, the right to brag about your high score and call yourself the ultimate champion of Azeroth.
Disturbing Visions – But Even Harder
The Disturbing Visions were a core feature of the last patch from Battle for Azeroth – and they return. You can once again venture into the twisted, nightmarish world of N’Zoth’s Stormwind and Orgrimmar. As before, you must try to be quick enough so that you do not succumb to madness.
In doing so, you can not only earn the old rewards but also a bunch of new ones – including current gear at “heroic” raid level – at least when you master the respective difficulties.
As before, there will be masks again, which will allow you to activate additional affixes, such as reduced sanity. The old masks are available, but there are also supposed to be three new ones, which will only be unlocked during the visions.
Of course, there are also new rewards in the form of mounts, toys, weapon enchantments, and transmogs.
When does Patch 11.1.5 release? The developers at Blizzard have now revealed the specific schedule for the new patch. The content will be released in a staggered manner:
- April 23: Nightfall scenario, cooldown manager, and the winds of mysterious fortune
- May 21: Comeback of the Disturbing Visions
- June 4: Treacherous Duos
