The latest patch of World of Warcraft is live. We will tell you what you should definitely do in Patch 10.2.7 “Dark Heart”.
Since this morning (05.07.2024), the last patch of World of Warcraft Dragonflight is live. The update 10.2.7 Dark Heart brings many minor innovations, although the big highlight will come in the following week.
We will reveal what is all in the patch and what you should do as soon as possible.
Three new quest lines – Khadgar, Night Elves, and Dracthyr
A total of three new quest lines are waiting for you to experience a bit more story in World of Warcraft.
- The most important quest line takes you to Dalaran and to Khadgar. A cinematic for this quest was already released in advance. The search for the mysterious harbinger begins, who will sooner or later herald the events of the next expansion. We have explained the entire story of the harbinger here.
- Another quest line takes place in Bel’ameth. Here, a Night Elf wishes to bury her fallen sister – but she had a dark secret. You must decide how to proceed in this very emotional quest line.
- Finally, it is time for the Dracthyr Glutthal to finally choose a visage form. She has always postponed this – but now the day has probably come to change that.
New Heritage Armors for Trolls and Draenei
Two more races are finally getting their long-awaited heritage armors: Trolls and Draenei. In order to start the quest line, you must have reached at least level 50 with a Troll or Draenei character.
After that, you will visit Stormwind (Draenei) or Orgrimmar (Troll) to start the quest line, at the end of which the coveted set awaits.
Return to Pandaria with WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria
For many, the highlight of the patch is the mode “WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria”. However, it did not start directly yesterday but has a few days delay. This way, everyone can take their time to focus on the story quests.
WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria starts on May 16 at 7:00 PM worldwide. Here you can level a new character from level 10 in Pandaria and collect special equipment with powerful effects. Leveling is dramatically accelerated. As additional rewards, there are lots of transmogs, toys, and mounts – including some brand new color variations that have never been available before.
As with Plunderstorm, this mode will also be time-limited and will be active for only a few weeks. The characters you level here can later be transferred to the new expansion “The War Within” – in addition to all the cool rewards.
What else is in Patch 10.2.7?
Apart from the highlights, there are still lots of minor adjustments and improvements. Here are the most important things:
- The group-finder tool now has many more filter and customization options.
- You can now specifically filter the auction house for items “only from the current expansion.”
- Dragon races will now be permanently displayed on the map unless you disable this option.
- The hunter’s stable has been updated and is now sortable and filterable.
Overall, Patch 10.2.7 is a relatively small patch that has only brought a few new activities. It serves more as a link between the current expansion Dragonflight and the next expansion “The War Within”. The focus of the story is slowly shifting to the new threat, and the search for the mysterious harbinger has begun.
