A new patch for World of Warcraft Dragonflight is coming. We will tell you what changes and what tasks await.
With WoW Dragonflight, Blizzard is trying to implement a significantly more aggressive patch policy, which means more content for all players. The second update is already in the starting blocks, as Patch 10.0.7 went live on March 22, 2023. We have summarized all the important information for you, so you can start the patch with a plan.
The main highlights at a glance:
- The Forbidden Island is a new endgame area with daily quests and story quests.
- The Vaults of Zskera are a new activity.
- No new season starts with Patch 10.0.7; it remains Dragonflight Season 1.
- There is a ring that will be “Best in Slot” for many classes.
- Humans and Orcs receive their heritage armor.
- The Winterpelt Furbolgs are a new faction.
- More races can play Monks.
The Forbidden Island – All major innovations
The Forbidden Island was once the starting area for the Dracthyr, but has become accessible again after the fall of Raszageth. Many of the activities from Patch 10.0.7 will take place on the island, so you will spend a large part of your time there.
The island entices with the “standard features” of a typical area expansion. This means new story quests, some treasures, rare enemies, but also new glyphs for dragon riding.
Additionally, you can find keys for the Vault of Zskera. These keys allow you to open new gates in the corresponding vault to access new treasures and also discover some exciting story details in the ruins. Fans of Azshara will especially enjoy this.
Within the vaults, you will also find the Onyx Socket Ring. This ring has only stamina as a stat, but also features 3 socket slots that can be filled with very special sockets. This allows for combinations that make the ring automatically the “Best in Slot” alternative for almost all specializations. You can farm the corresponding sockets in the Vaults of Zskera, but you can also work towards your favorite effects.
What else is in the patch?
But even outside of the “main content,” there are several exciting innovations that should provide variety for at least a few weeks until Patch 10.1 Embers of Neltharion is released. These include:
Heritage armor for Orcs and Humans: The two original WoW races can earn their heritage armor through new questlines. There are several variations of the sets for both races, so every human and every orc should find something to their liking.
New reputation faction: The Winterpelt Furbolgs are difficult to understand, but piece by piece you can decipher their language and earn new rewards while gaining reputation with them.
New “Refer a Friend” rewards: The rewards for the “Refer a Friend” program have been updated and you can now earn rewards inspired by Goblins.
More information about the individual innovations can be found in our large overview article on Patch 10.0.7.
