“Just do it” could be this YouTuber’s motto. He plays World of Warcraft on Mobile and defeats mythical raid bosses.
The BlizzCon 2018 reignited the discussion around mobile games and PC games. Many players fear that mobile games will eventually overtake PC titles. Cortyn, however, does not believe that PC games are replaceable.
While some players would love a “World of Warcraft: Mobile”, YouTuber Zhang Chun just went ahead and created his own mobile version of World of Warcraft.
To make it not too easy, he decided to tank a mythical boss – Taloc, the first opponent in the current raid Uldir.
How does it work? The device shown is a GPD Win2, basically a “handheld computer.” The portable PC in game console format is quite powerful for its size and can even render games like World of Warcraft.
However, to make the interface look somewhat acceptable (with many small buttons for abilities), he had to use several interface addons. For this, he used the addon “Azerite UI”
Not a permanent solution: However, this solution is not really practical and will probably only work with game content that is not too hectic. Taloc is still the first and therefore the easiest boss of the raid Uldir – even in the mythical mode.
Hectic matters like PvP are probably out of the question with a handheld. Moreover, in raids on medium graphics, you only achieve frame rates between 15 and 25. The spoiled gamer eye might complain about that.
The comments under the video are rather amused. It says:
- “Delete this before someone sees it!”
- “Don’t give Blizzard such ideas!”
- “World of Warcraft: Immortal”
Could you imagine playing World of Warcraft on a mobile device long-term? Or should something like that never become a reality for the masses?
