The characters in World of Warcraft will receive new customization options. We reveal what the developers have promised!
At BlizzCon 2017, many fans of World of Warcraft had the opportunity to ask some questions about their favorite MMORPG in a developer Q&A. In addition to some interesting questions about the game’s lore or the demand for a larger backpack, there was also a question about the customization of character creation.
Over the years, a lot has changed in World of Warcraft, but apart from a few new hairstyles, the selection of customization options during character creation is limited. There are only a handful of faces per race, and other options like skin color, hair color, or accessories are rather sparse.
Nothing can even be changed about the physical shape of the body. Every human is the same height and has the same silhouette.
But that will change soon for Orcs!
In recent years, Orc players have repeatedly complained about why male Orcs cannot walk upright and instead have such a hunch. After all, they stood upright in Warcraft III, and some characters, like Thrall, seem to be able to do so as well.
Barbers also correct spine issues
In the future, there will be an additional option for Orcs at the barber. Players will then be able to freely decide whether their Orc should continue to walk “stooped” or have a straight spine and walk upright. At BlizzCon, it was jokingly suggested that the barbers of Azeroth have also taken a course in chiropractic care.
Whether trolls will also receive this option is still uncertain. At least the new Zandalari trolls can walk upright.
Furthermore, the developers want to transfer some options from the new allied races to the “old” characters. It can therefore be assumed that players will receive additional customization options with Battle for Azeroth.
