In World of Warcraft you can again obtain a toy that was once super rare – but you only have a few days to do so.
Since the launch of World of Warcraft Dragonflight, Blizzard has increasingly collaborated with Twitch. Viewers are rewarded with unique items every few weeks if they consume a few hours of WoW content in return – or at least have it running in the background.
Now there is the D.I.S.C.O. – but you only have a few days to get it.
What kind of toy is this? The D.I.S.C.O. is a large disco ball that appears from a box. When you use the toy, the surrounding area is bathed in colorful lights and the characters nearby start dancing. So it’s the perfect way to bring a bit of party fun to Azeroth.
How do you get the D.I.S.C.O.? To obtain the toy, you need to link your Twitch account with your Battle.net account. After that, you must watch a total of 4 hours of World of Warcraft content to be able to claim the D.I.S.C.O. reward.
The event is only active between March 21, 2023, and April 2, 2023.
Where does the toy come from? Originally, D.I.S.C.O. was only available indirectly in World of Warcraft and could be obtained through the “Warcraft Trading Card Game.” There were rare “loot cards” that contained a code which could then be redeemed in WoW.
However, the collectible card game was discontinued many years ago, and the corresponding cards were extremely limited. Therefore, they could fetch high prices on platforms like eBay.
Do you have to watch actively? No. It is enough to have a valid Twitch stream open and running. You can mute the stream or let it run completely in the background if you are not interested at all. After 4 hours, you can claim the reward.
It is also not necessary to watch the 4 hours “in one go.” You can spread the duration over several days if you only spend a few hours per day on the PC.
